Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This year I have a class full of vibrant, joyful and inquisitive fifth graders. They are anxious about learning, especially when it comes to current events and world affairs. My students enjoy talking about politics, history, science and math. They are also independent thinkers and learners who soak up everything we discuss in class. Not only are they the amazing scholars, they are also amazing little citizens. They cooperate with each other and genuinely want to make a difference in their community.

My Project

I am requesting books, book bins and reading chairs because I would like to create an environment where kids have access to organized books, and comfortable seating. Most of my students come from homes where they don’t have the opportunity to have their own space to read! My goal is to provide my students a reading and learning environment where they are happy, excited, and comfortable. In our classroom my students rotate from station to station and these materials will assist me in creating a special station where kids can come sit, pick up a book and take a seat on a comfortable, cute and inviting reading area. Your help with this project will mean a lot to so many kids in the Los Angeles region!!
