My Students

Hello family and friends! I teach at a wonderful Title I, public elementary school in the Mesa Unified School District. I have an amazing class of 31 enthusiastic learners who are excited to read and connect with their books. My students come from very diverse backgrounds and challenging home lives. I would love to give them different perspectives on life and teach them more about being outstanding in their households. My students have the determination and support to be strong leaders and members of our society, but it all starts with me giving them guidance and love. I believe this will motivate them to accomplish their goals and be fantastic readers!

My Project

My students have told me heartbreaking stories about their home lives and the little they have when they go home. I only have my students for so many hours throughout the day, so my goal is to inspire my students to fall in love with reading. I have the ability to give them hope and shape their young minds. These books will spark new thoughts and goals in my students. As they learn how to read more and fall in love with a book, they'll feel love. I want my students to be readers, so they can aspire to be leaders!
