My Students

Imagine 16 bright students who come to school every morning eager to learn more about any and everything from not just me, but their peers as well. They are like unique sponges who are ready to soak up all knowledge being taught from a lesson in my class. They make my job very worthwhile and they are the reason I love to teach.

"A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning" in their children.

Teaching isn't about having a job to report to everyday, but it's about the passion and love for children and making sure they will be successful. I am fortunate enough to be at a school where the students have a love for learning in an awesome environment. My students make me smile and laugh each and every day, and I enjoy teaching these great, inquisitive minds. My kindergartners are so excited to come to school to learn each and everyday.

My Project

Reading a book daily is so important in the development of these growing kindergarten students. My kindergarten students love having read aloud story time but it is really hard to have story time when we don't have enough great books to read. My kindergarten friends would love to see more variety of books be brought to life in our classroom.

Reading aloud with children is an essential component to language development and is one of the most important activities for preparing them to succeed as readers.

I truly enjoy reading to my children everyday and we would be super excited to get more books added to our classroom library.
