My Students

Help my students see their science lesson come to life in an exciting way!

I teach 22 third graders in all subject areas at a Title I school.

My third grade students are very eager to learn about animals, ecosystems, and life cycles. This project will be a great way to enhance their learning and make science come alive in such an exciting and hands-on way.

My Project

The resources that I currently have available are limited and do not allow my students to actually witness the life cycle firsthand. I would like to provide them with materials that they can actually see and touch, instead of just reading it out of their textbook, so that it will be more meaningful and impacting on their learning. There are several resources that will help the frog life cycle come to life for my students. The frog hatchery will allow my students watch a tadpole go through the metamorphosis into a full grown frog. The inflatable frog and butterfly life cycle, and the frog life cycle theme box will let them be able to see, hold, and examine the different stages of the life cycle. We will be able to use the books for the students to do additional research and learn interesting facts of life cycles. These resources will permit students to see the life cycle step by step in a fun and exciting way.

With your help, my students will be able to develop a better understanding of a frog's life cycle, by experiencing the exciting metamorphosis right in front of their eyes!
