This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My Pre-K 3 students are full of excitement, enthusiasm and energy! Each one of my students is different and yet they have a lot in common with each other. They all have their unique, individual personalities and at the same time enjoy each other's company while they learn together through play.

My students are determined to learn everything, grow as individuals, and explore the wonderful world around them.

No matter how energetic they are, they are always ready to learn new things and become extremely proud when they are able to reach or accomplish a goal! No matter how difficult something may seem, they always persevere!

My Project

Our little ones are always enthusiastic about everything we do and learn, but they are extra enthusiastic when they are able to spend time outside. Being able to engage in the learning experience is fundamental for our pre-k students. This is why our materials for this project are to provide hands-on equipment that will help them grow, learn, develop skills and explore as they enjoy the outdoors.

The materials in our project will help our students extend their learning experience beyond the walls of our classroom.

Each item in our project will help our students learn, practice, and master specific skills they need. The safe and soft comet balls and easy grip balls can help students develop gross motor skills by kicking, throwing, and bouncing the ball. These different styles of balls will provide all students the opportunity to practice these skills. These balls along with the activity scarves can also give students the opportunity to help develop their hand-eye coordination. The kid-sized binoculars and the kid-sized flashlights that are included in our project will provide students the opportunity to explore while outdoors, whether they are trying to observe a bird that's flying in the sky or create shadows using leaves and flowers. The sight word steps and learning letter activity leaves will help our students practice and continue to build on their letter recognition and phonological awareness skills. All of these materials will need a home in our recess area, this is why the outdoor classroom cart is perfect for us. It is a safe place for all of our materials, as well as for our students, and will be a great addition to the recess area where all of our outdoor learning will take place.
