To save or not to save? That is the question. In my computer applications II class each student works on various projects and assignments throughout the year with no place to save their work. Our local server cannot house all of the students' work; thus we need flash drives.
My students are high poverty high school students.
The students that take my computer applications II course are high achieving students who want to excel in the technology field. My students cannot afford to purchase a flash drive; and they desperately need a place to save their work that does not require saving to our local server.
My Project
Having and using flash drives in our classroom will make all the difference in the world. My students will be able to work on projects in other computer labs and in the library without having to worry about where they will save their work and if it will still be there when they return. Having a flash drive for each of my students will save time and resources that have been wasted in the past looking for work on several computers before finding the correct version. With a flash drive my students will save time which will mean more time creating the projects that they are excited about. My students will be able to save graphics, music, pictures, and much more with a flash drive. This means no more wasted time and space on the local server!
By providing my students with a flash drive you are helping them in numerous ways.
Flash drives will save my students time. Flash drives will help my students keep track of their projects and be able to add to or improve upon earlier projects. Flash drives will allow my students to take their completed portfolio with them wherever they may choose to go. Flash drives will also help my students by lowering the cost of their education.
