My Students
At our Title I, low-income school, we have adopted some wonderful programs for helping transitional families. Many of our students come from low-income families. Our school has a thriving backpack buddy program, holiday assistance program, and clothes closet to help make ends meet. We want to help these families continue to succeed.
Many of my students have trouble getting basic school supplies.
Many of our families struggle to meet their basic needs. They are doing their best to help their children succeed. Many of my students only have access to educational technology at school. They have difficulty finding school supplies which makes it difficult to complete their assignments. It also causes them stress when they are in class and unprepared.
My Project
Technology is used every day in our classroom. We do Xtramath to practice basic math facts. We do enrichment math and reading programs. We read e-books. We explore the sciences. We sing songs.
Unfortunately, we also forget our laptops at home.
We forget to charge them, and we have a rough day because we don't have our device. Please help me have a couple of backup devices for our class. This will help on testing days when a device gets left in a car, when someone forgot to charge or when someone just forgot.
