My students need the Fairy Tales STEAM kits to assist in problem solving. We have recently become a STEAM Magnet school and need material that will assist in challenging my Kindergarten student's mind.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are eager learners that comes to school ready to learn. As they enter the room and throughout the day, I ask them, "Who is the smartest kindergarten class at Sunrise?" and they reply, "Ms. R's class!" I want them to feel they are the smartest and best. I want them to know they can achieve anything in life when they set their minds to it. These kids are very loving and special and deserve the best. They look forward to me challenging them to stretch their thinking capacity.
My Project
The Fairy Tale STEAM Kid will assist in critical thinking and problem solving skills while building collaboration and creativity. This will change our students' lives for the better because they will learn to love school as well as problem solve. They will learn the importance of thinking things through, which leads to the feeling of success at an early age while having fun while learning! Most of the students I teach need that extra push to think beyond what they see now. With this project it will help them do critical thinking so they are able to solve problems with multiple means to do it. Critical thinking and problem solving is a skill that will follow them the rest of their lives. I believe this skill needs to start art an early age.
