To Do: Remember, Each Day Is an Awesome Fresh Start
Help me give my students tools to keep themselves organized, like to-do lists, post-it notes, and timers along with motivating stickers, and note cards.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are growing in their ability to see themselves as successful and need learning tools to maintain and achieve success; I want to give them the tools to complete tasks, like easy-to-do lists and timers, to stay focused. They are growing in their confidence to succeed at school. Currently, they attend an alternative high school because they do not find traditional high schools that fit their needs. A lot of time is spent with staff finding what strategies or tools they need to complete their high school careers, and almost every student asks for a timer or a to-do list template. I need to replenish my supplies.
As they are growing, I want to recognize their hard work with cards and stickers.
I have found these tools are the most valued by my students. So many students thank me when I tell them, "I am proud of you." It is something they do not hear enough. The stickers and cards allow me to stay it, and they have a physical reminder when I do say it.
