My students need to be able to access books to through the use of Fire 7 Kids Edition Tablet, 7" Display, to enhance their literacy skills. Also, it will help to develop their love for learning.

My Students
My students are energetic first graders who love to find new ways of learning. As a teacher I am always looking for ways to engage them in learning new ways. I want them to become more self taught and technology is a great way for them to learn on their own at their own pace.
They enjoy technology and love working on the computers in the classroom.
Unfortunately, due to the area in which I teach many students don't get the use technology daily.
My Project
My students will use these tablets during our center time. They will use them to work on phonics and reading during our Daily 5 rotations. They will also be able to use them during Math centers. Students will have access to many different applications and books through the internet.
I currently have 3 computers and 3 tablets would really give them all the chance to use them once a day.
Many of my students do not have access to daily technology so these tablets would benefit them and give them a chance to explore different forms of technology as well as open their eyes to a different way of learning valuable skills.
