To Charge and Protect

My students need a way to protect and charge our classroom iPads.

My Students

We have been lucky enough to have two iPads thanks to DonorsChoose. Now we need to make sure they are always safe and charged.

My class has twelve smart and active Pre-Kindergarten students.

They all love opportunities to use technology in school since many do not have access to it at home. Our school is a Title I school and 98% of the students are eligible for free lunch. The families of our students give what they can to the school but I believe my students deserve the very best.

My Project

In the year that I have had the iPad in the classroom my students have managed to break the reasonably priced cover I purchased. So now we need a case that can not only protect the iPad from clumsy four year olds but is strong enough to withstand their destructive side. We are also in need of a way to charge the classes iPads and iTouch that the same time so they are always ready for the students to use.

Having technology available in the classroom is very important to me.

Its upsetting to me that kids less than five miles away have iPads for every student and Smart-boards in every classroom. We are in the same city but the resources aren't the same. I want to narrow the gap and provide my students with the same resources so they can reach the same goals.
