TK Outdoor Sensory Play

My Project

Playing outdoors has numerous benefits for young children. According to the NAEYC, "Time spent outside can lead to better physical and mental health, improved sleep, and cognitive, social, and emotional gains for young children." Regular outdoor play supports early learning across all domains and gives children a break from traditional learning that occurs inside the classroom.

I want to give my TK students more opportunities for outdoor play including a water table, and water toys, a sand table and Kinetic sand.

My students love to play outside and more recently they have been looking for new outdoor play activities. These materials would benefit all of the TK students at my site this year as well as future TK students for years to come.
