This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our transitional kindergarten (TK) students are full of energy, imagination, and a natural love for hands-on exploration. To support their development through outdoor learning, we are hoping to add a variety of fun and educational playground materials to our outside time. With your help, we can provide items like sandbox buckets and shovels, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, beanbags, and sensory bin letters and numbers for our sand area.
These outside materials offer many opportunities for learning and development.
As students scoop, dig, and pour in the sandbox, they build fine motor skills, cooperation, and creativity. Sensory letters and numbers help reinforce early literacy and math concepts in a playful, tactile way. Chalk and beanbags promote gross motor development, while bubbles bring joy and spark language and social interaction.
Outdoor play is essential to healthy development in early childhood. Your generous support will help us create an engaging outdoor environment where our TK learners can move, explore, and grow through meaningful play. Thank you for helping our students learn with joy, movement, and imagination!
