Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Four- to five-year-olds are in a critical stage of development where hands-on exploration and active engagement are essential for learning. At this age, children are developing fine and gross motor skills, social interaction abilities, and foundational cognitive skills through play and structured activities. Having age-appropriate furniture—such as child-sized tables, chairs, and shelves—helps create a safe and inviting environment that supports independence, comfort, and confidence as they explore and learn.

Sensory tables are especially valuable in early childhood classrooms.

They provide rich opportunities for tactile exploration, problem-solving, and language development as children scoop, pour, sift, and experiment with various materials. These experiences not only support sensory processing and motor development but also encourage curiosity, collaboration, and imaginative thinking—key components of a well-rounded early learning experience.
