This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love seeing students thrive in a place where they feel safe, have fun, and want to learn. I am so excited to be moving to Transitional Kindergarten for the 2023-2024 school year and providing an engaging and exciting environment for my 4-5 year old students! In TK, students will learn through play and socialization - these tools will provide lots of opportunities to do just that!
Problem solving, compromising, taking turns, working with others - these are just a few of the skills that I hope students in my TK classroom will learn and practice every day.
Having toys such as a dollhouse will help them with oral language development, creativity and working together. Supplies for our art center will allow them to explore their creative side and create masterpieces! And bean bags and cones will add to our outdoor play and give students opportunities to practice gross motor skills.
Play is such an important part of learning, especially for 4 - 5 year olds! I am excited to provide a myriad of opportunities for students to learn through play in my TK classroom!
