This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love that my students are diverse in their learning developments and unique in their own ways. These will be used for students from TK-1st grade and be a great asset to start off our new school year. This year will be the first normal school years for these kiddos. The dinosaur pack and cash register will be used for social skills building and turn taking as this is a skill needed on many of our students IEP’s. We will utilize the calming cuddle ball in our break area for when students need a break as many of our students have sensory issues and can become overwhelmed. The Find the Letter Activity Center will be a great starter pack for ELD time and turn taking as well as a fine motor activity that can be used during OT. Our classroom has limited supplies and this would help with their social emotional skills, turn taking and ELD skills.
