Title I Ultimate Frisbee and Ping Pong Outreach

Help me give my students opportunities to try new sports that not many Title I schoolchildren get to experience.

My Project

This project combines beginner frisbees, ping pong balls with children's books to help include reading scores while introducing new movements and concepts to the kids. It also includes a 6 pack of ultimate frisbees for the older students, to begin playing a game none of them have ever heard of Ultimate Frisbee. Football and Flag Football are immensely popular at our school, but I believe that Ultimate Frisbee can grow at Title I schools as well as its a similar sport in terms of routes and movements. I've also included ping pong paddles, nets, and ping pong balls to help diversify my lesson capabilities.

My students are quick and eager learners, capable of picking up new sports quickly, and the more skills I can teach them about increases the likelihood of lifetime fitness and athletic participation for the rest of their lives.

These frisbee and ping pong sports each are underrepresented in Title I schools, and I believe that with your donation, my students can experience these diverse sports, perhaps even compete at the Olympic Level one day in table tennis.
