Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Working at a Title I school can be very tough. When I first told friends that I was working at a Title I school, many of them told me to run! The kids are “too much” or they “don’t care about school” according to them. But many of them just don’t have a safe space in their lives and it’s hard for them to trust that their teacher wants the best for them.

With these classroom materials, my students can feel prepared and feel safe in my classroom.

A standing desk will help me move around while teaching rather than sitting behind a desk. The flexible seating options will help my students who have ADHD or who can’t sit in a desk all day. I pray you help build my classroom. This will be my second school year in August, and I hope you will bless me with a gift! Thank you so much!
