Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a Title 1 teacher transitioning into a new role teaching second grade. Imagine a classroom where students are not only learning, but are excited to participate, collaborate, and express themselves creatively.

Our classroom is a vibrant space filled with curious minds and big dreams.

However, to truly foster engagement and hands-on learning, we need a few essential tools that will help us create a more dynamic and inclusive environment.

The Big Joe Beanbag will provide a cozy a calming corner for students who need a moment to reset.

To enhance our interactive lessons, we’re requesting Expo and Crayola dry erase markers and a set of 30 whiteboard clipboards. These tools will allow students to work from anywhere in the room, collaborate in small groups, and actively participate in lessons. The Crayola markers add a splash of color and creativity, while the Expo markers ensure we have enough supplies for daily use.

To celebrate achievements and encourage participation, we’re excited to introduce a prize wheel and a bulk pack of fidget toys and classroom rewards. These will be used for classroom games, behavior incentives, and to bring a little extra joy to our day.

To preserve student work and classroom materials, we’re requesting Scotch thermal laminating pouches. Laminated materials last longer and can be reused, saving time and resources in the long run.

Finally, to keep our classroom clean and healthy, we’re asking for Clorox disinfecting wipes and Purell hand sanitizer. These essentials help us maintain a safe learning environment for everyone.

Each item in this project has been carefully selected to support student engagement, creativity, and well-being. Your donation will directly impact our classroom by making learning more interactive, rewarding, and fun. Thank you for considering our project and for believing in the power of education.
