Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are committed to creating a safe space for all students to learn and grow in their own unique way. We are putting a project together in order to create a sensory room that will be utilized to provide a safe and supportive environment for all students. When a child feels safe only then they can take risks, engage with peers and learn. Therefore, safe before sound, will help these children succeed academically and socially.

Research shows that students are more engaged in classroom activities after visiting a sensory room.

Sensory rooms can provide the sensory input that children with sensory processing difficulties need. This can help them learn to cope with fears or dislikes, and can help them learn new skills.

Please help us accomplish their dream of creating a safe space for all learners!
