Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The students will use these products daily in order to blow their noses, instead of using their sleeves. The students will benefit because their parents won't have to spend more money on supplies that they have already spent money on. All of my students come from low-income households.
90% of my students come from low-income households and have not been able to afford basic school supplies, tissues being one of them.
These materials will go a long way for the students and their families. My students will use these resources daily, in order to stay healthy.
I love my students' willingness to learn and the smile that they put on my face daily, as well as the smile that I put on theirs. I love our rapport and they really make work enjoyable each day. We are running low on tissues. I am going through about 3 boxes a week so far, and it's not even winter yet. This project should get me to the end of the school year. The students will use these supplies in order to keep them healthy and clean.
