Tissues for All Kinds of Issues!

My Project

Many students come to school with concerning thoughts on their minds and in their hearts. Sometimes they are not upset, they are just experiencing seasonal allergies throughout the school year. All they need when these things occur is a box of Kleenex and a little bit of understanding. Kleenex tissues are a much needed staple in my middle school classroom. Often, students come to school after an upsetting morning and it is always helpful to have a large supply of tissue around. Middle school students rarely have Kleenex, so I like to hand out the individual packages to students each year to carry in their book bag as well as having them in my classroom.

When a student is worried and upset about a situation, offering them a Kleenex is just a small gesture that shows you care.

Kleenex are always needed to dry up the tears and runny noses of many students in classrooms around the world. Tissues are not the only thing that can help take their minds off of the stressful situations they are experiencing, stress balls and Playdoh also help ease their minds! Middle school students like to pretend that they are grown, but when they have a stress ball or small amount of Playdoh, it helps take their minds off of the situation that is causing them anxiety or concern. Just being able to "play" with an object can make them feel better. "Tissues for all kinds of Issues" would provide an ample supply of Kleenex and various tactile tools for the students in my classes.
