My Project

As a first-year teacher, I have not met my students yet, but I care deeply about creating a space where they feel welcomed, supported, and free to express themselves. I will be teaching in a community school where many families face economic challenges, and I want every child who walks into my music room to know they belong.

Each item in this project supports that goal.

Art supplies like markers, crayons, and colored pencils will allow students to creatively respond to music through drawing and writing. Finger puppets will be used for musical storytelling and imaginative play, especially with my younger learners. Timers will help keep lessons on track while encouraging independence, and cleaning supplies will help maintain a healthy and organized classroom for everyone.

These resources will help build a joyful and student-centered learning environment and make a meaningful difference in my students' daily experience.
