Tiny Scholars Need Tech: Part II

My students need an iPad charging station to charge and organize their iPads when not in use.

My Students

Eight 3 and 4-year-olds bustle around a busy classroom, exploring the world around them, manipulating materials and learning through play and participation in carefully planned learning experiences.

All of these mini-scholars are exceptional students and none of them lack curiosity.

This is what happens in both sessions (morning and afternoon) of my half-day preschool classroom. This is the first school experience for many of my students, who represent a ethnically diverse low income neighborhood where 100% of the school's students come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

My Project

Our preschool classroom was blessed with iPads.... Thanks to you! Now they need a Store and Charge Tablet Station to use as a place to put them! They use these iPads during center time to access ABC mouse and build their literacy foundational skills such as learning letters and letter sounds.

However, lately the iPads have not been used consistently because there are not enough outlets in the classroom to charge each one individually everyday.

Please support my classes literacy learning! My students need the extra literacy practice time during centers to have purposeful exposure to and interaction with letters (all of them) each day. Research shows that quality early language and literacy instruction is linked to future literacy and career success.
