My Students
Recently two schools were merged together, one from an upper class school and the other school from a lower class area. The pre-school classroom is housed in the middle school building. Some of my families are struggling trying to make ends meet and find employment. It is my desire to give my students every opportunity to explore learning.
My students are curious and fascinated.
I want my students to have many opportunities to explore various materials at the table, magnetic whiteboard and take home. My students come from various economic backgrounds but they all are excited about learning.
My Project
The teacher resources that I am asking for will benefit my students during small group a time where I can identify the areas to work on to help build their confidence and esteem. Students will be able to share and discuss books which would be placed at each table and around the room at different centers. Students will also learn responsibilities on how to take care of materials and placing materials back when done. In addition to allowing students choices, it also will help build eye and hand coordination. Students will also be able to take resources home to explore with an older sibling or parent.
