This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My classrooms are special because they are full of curiosity. Children are naturally scientist and inquisitive. I wasn’t able to continue to encourage that curiosity. When I introduced microscopes to my students, I overheard my most detached student teaching and encouraging others to participate. He said, “I am a scientist and you can be too”. Giving my students access to scientific skills and relevant materials will make them be able to reach for higher goals. I want to make my students reach higher.
My Project
I want to be able to teach my students the joy of coding. Many of my students like Fortnite and Minecraft but they shy away from even thinking about creating their own game or even possess the skills to do so. I want to open up their possibilities and show them what’s going on in the world around them. My students already have a love for coding they just aren’t secure and learned enough to understand the language. This is a 21st-century skill that all students should have access to. Help me give my students the skills needs for the Future!!
