Help me give my students quality timers for all kinds of experiments in life, earth and space science experiments.

My Students
My students are the best in the world! We live in a very small, rural town in mid-west Indiana. Over 60% of our students are eligible for free and reduced-price lunch. Our state standards changed last year, and I find myself lacking durable items to teach these standards.
My school doesn't have much money for up-to-date equipment, so I write grants to purchase items to help my students work with a variety of tools to which they would not otherwise have access.
I teach all levels of students and believe each and every one should have the same experiences! All of them are eager to learn by understanding that all subjects must be integrated to have a complete learning experience. I have convinced each and every one that they can win a Nobel Prize for thinking outside the box. It is my job to give them the tools to think critically in every situation.
My Project
It's all about timing!
In middle school, collecting time data is absolutely necessary for good data analysis.
For example, in both 6th and 7th grade, we calculate speed and velocity using carts and ramps.
In 6th grade, we calculate the speed of pendulum swings with washers attached to different string lengths. We time how long it takes earthworms to show a response to stimuli and compare that to the response time in humans. Students also walk certain amounts of time to represent the distances between planets to show just how far apart they are.
In 7th grade, we calculate the time it takes for reactions to occur from start to finish during a mystery substance lab. We time how long a reaction lasts during the mineral testing lab and how long it takes to break apart representative rocks during the erosion lab.
With all these experiments, students must have quality timing devices to accurately explain phenomena with data to back up their claims.
