This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I always tell my students, "SMILING IS FREE." I want them to always be happy and enjoy every lesson to the extreme. I believe in the FULL experience in each lesson!!! Each one of my students deserves to want to come to school EVERYDAY and be excited about what they are learning!!!
Oh, my students are AMAZING!!!
They keep me busy everyday. I have the type of group that if I ask a question, they raise their hand every time to answer. We are in Texas. We set very high expectations for each student. Everyday I try my best to achieve success in all my students. I try very hard to be the teacher who acts out and role plays every lesson everyday!! My students love to learn about our different countries around the world.
I have to come to school everyday with the attitude of motivating my fabulous students to no end. They have so many ups and downs at home, that my classroom needs to be a place for them for feel comfortable and free to explore for themselves. My students have me thinking about them constantly and motivating me to try harder and harder to be MORE creative in what I do daily with them. Every year they leave with their own portfolio of all their amazing work and a classroom yearbook that I make for them as a gift with all their pictures.
My Project
My students love to travel around the world each month. I would like to begin our journey through Egypt. My class would use the canvas's I ordered to paint beautiful images of a King Tut as we will learn all the fascinating facts of his time period. We will also incorporate the Papyrus paper by having my students create their names using Egyptian hieroglyphics and designs. They will use the Mr. Sketch markers to help them create color on these hieroglyphics. They will create Egyptian Molds to get the feel of the wonderful artifacts found in the Egyptian pyramids. They then will move on to Medieval Times and King Arthur. They will create a drama/play also using some of the same materials by making costumes and props for their big show. They will use the glass Cathedral paper for creating glass art like the beautiful stained glass during Medieval times. They will create a mural of King Arthur, castles, and his surroundings using the brown paper and the colorful markers.
My students love to help make our classroom look like a fun and exciting learning zone.
Please help me to make these experiences happen. I am a GENUINE 3rd grade teacher who LOVES what I do. I come to school EVERYDAY with a HUGE smile on my face. I always give my students 150% of my full attention and determination to make them become successful leaders. Them learning about different cultures, customs, and traditions in other countries helps the wonderful world that surrounds them.
