This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

With hearts full of joy, my TK students come into school ready to learn through play. They love big, play big, and learn big as they go from 4 to 5 in the first few months of school and grow in both mind and body. Transitional Kindergarten is the first of a two-year kindergarten program designed for children who miss the cut-off for Kindergarten by just a small amount. These students may not have had any prior school experience, or they may be preschool pros.

These tiny people will light joy in the world around them!

They aren't quite ready to take on the world, but with love, patience, and support, it won't be long!

My Project

There is so much to learn when you're 4, and all of it should be done while having fun. This is where these materials come into play! Between building their names, letters, and numbers with play doh to help support fine motor development, to crayons which will help them both with fine motor control and with illustrating their stories.

Children need to be able to work creatively as they develop their writing skills, and these notebooks are the perfect way to let them first draw and then write about their drawings.

What a special keepsake for parents to take home at the end of the year, to remember their children's creativity and growth.
