My Students
My 4th graders are a group of students who come to school eager to learn and curious to ask questions. This coming year my students will be exposed to technology so they too are on the path to being the 21st century learner.
It is imperative to mention that my students come from an under served area and all are eligible for free lunch, however, this label does not hinder their desire to learn and have equitable access to education just as any other student.
We are a school that believes in our students and strive to open as many doors of opportunity as we can for our students.
My Project
Time 4 Kids magazine is a wonderful resource for my students. The magazine not only informs and entertains my students but also teaches crucial comprehension skill necessary for reading.
I will be using this informative magazine in two different ways: as read at home and share during closing circle and secondly I will use the cover story as a read aloud and discussion during closing circle.
What is very exciting about Time 4 Kids is they have it digitized which also give me an opportunity to teach research skills to my students.
This class subscription will be invaluable for my students as it will open doors to their learning of geography and cultures of the world.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
