Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We can be organized with the right tools. No more cleaning desks to find the unfinished writing assignment. My students are always working on a project or assignment. They need more control on how to keep their projects and portfolios in order.
We are an inner city public school with 400 students Pre-K - 6th grade.
Our children love school and love being involved in projects and activities in the classroom. They also attend an after school program where they can continue to work on projects.
My Project
We have tried a variety of ways to keep our class organized. Next year we are going to keep our important papers and portfolios in folders and binders. There will also be a chart with dates to keep track of what is completed and what work needs to be continued. The students will use post it notes to write reminders and notes for themselves. The binders will be kept in containers for easy student access. We need binders, dividers, sheet protectors and more to keep organized with their works in progress, projects and portfolios.
Children need to learn at an early age how to keep their materials organized, for this is a life skill that will help them throughout their career in school and as adults.
Sometimes life can be overwhelming for young children in today's world.
By supporting this project, you will be enabling children to organize their academic life as well as preparing them for adulthood.
