Help me give my students mats for our jiu jitsu and wrestling club to ensure that we can continue building a tradition of competitive student-athletes.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
To build a student-athlete, there are three things that are needed: Dedication, Determination, and Delineation. To be both a great student and great athlete, one must be dedicated to their craft through a constant cycle of reflection of how to improve in each area of academics and athletics. One must be determined to overcome the obstacles and challenges they are faced in the processes of learning to be better student-athletes. However, all of this energy needs to reflect the abilities to delineate between positive and negative choices. Our jiu jitsu/wrestling club is built to help students understand that greatness is a process of these three components combined.
Please help our school and community pursue excellence towards setting the standards and leading by example for others to be inspired.
The mats would help by giving us the space to train and compete.
