This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Have you ever looked into the desk of an unorganized first grader? It is not a pretty sight! My class needs chair pockets to help us get better organized!
I teach 20 sweet first graders in a title 1 school that come from a low socioeconomic background.
My students love to learn and have an excitement that shows on their face everyday. My classroom needs a few supplies to help them become better organized and to expand their learning.
My Project
With the chair pockets I will be able to teach the students organization skills while their desks become better organized and they become more responsible. With the alphabet stamps and ink pads they will be able to use them during stations for spelling work, word work, and sentence making in writing. The handwriting paper will help them be more neat and organized in their writing and handwriting skills.
By donating to fund the supplies of this project to my classroom, my students will be able to expand their learning in many ways.
There will be less time looking for items that can be easily stored in the chair pockets and in turn less classroom instruction time wasted. They will also be able to expand their thinking with the supplies needed for station work.
