My students need a room divider because most of the time, 2 lessons are going on simultaneously. This would help the students focus on their lesson without getting distracted by other lessons going on.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My class consists of 12 amazing students in grades K and 1. Our school is a Title I school and has a student enrollment in which more than half of the students students come from low-income families. Most of our students are eligible for free breakfast and lunch.
Although my students struggle greatly throughout each and every day of their young lives, it is my job to make them feel see that they can accomplish whatever it is they set their heart on!
I am here to motivate them and advocate for them, know that they are cared for, listened to and respected. Coming to school is the highlight of their day for many of the students in my school and I hope that I can continue providing everything that is needed to give them the education that they deserve!
My Project
This room divider will help my students focus on their lesson. Most of the time there are two lessons being taught simultaneously and students may be distracted. Due to my student population, the least number of distractions the better. Our classroom works in small groups, so there are always different groups of students completing different tasks. The students know to use their "quiet voices" in the classroom, however, this does not stop the other students from watching the other groups and not focusing on their own work. Please help us focus this school year and reach our highest potential!! :)
