My Project
My sixth graders are an amazing group of students. They come from different cultural backgrounds with various social-emotional needs, as well as diverse learners. We have been working hard on our end of the year literacy project. This project consists of my students developing their own Readers Theater literacy activity. We would like to create short mini videos of their reading skills. It will enhance their performance as well as demonstrate their love for reading and writing. This project would help engage my students as they will also make a theatrical 6th grade class video. It will be a special keepsake video project where they could reflect on our past reading assignments as they act and perform with their classmates.
Our 6th grade literacy project will help keep my awesome students focused on our project, and a GoPro HERO10 video camera with the necessary accessories will heighten their creativity and encourage them to work as a team.
The GoPro HERO10 camera will allow us to connect to our computer devices and display each performance/acting, but most importantly elevate reading engagement.
In order to keep my wonderful students focused and engaged, the GoPro HERO10 video camera and accessories will allow me to help fuse reading with visual arts. This technology will help record/film their presentations' with visual graphics. Then they will be able to view themselves having fun as they reflect on their reading skills. All of my 6th grade students need creative engagement and by using video technology in our project, such as a GoPro HERO10 video camera, I know it will create excitement and re-energize their learning so that we can finish our school year in strong fashion.
