My Students
My third graders are a group of students who come to school eager to learn and curious to ask questions. This coming year my students will be exposed to technology so they too are on the path to being the 21st century learner. It is imperative to mention that my students come from an under served area and all are eligible for free lunch, however, this label does not hinder their desire to learn and have equitable access to education just as any other student. We are a school that believes in our students and strive to open as many doors of opportunity as we can for our students.
My Project
Time For Kids is a great magazine for my students to read and learn about the current events happening around them but around the world! This will open a new doorway for my students to look through and explore the beautiful world around them. Additionally this timeless magazine will allow me to teach my students reading and comprehension skills, allow us to have debates and discussions on issues that matter, and explore varied writing skills.
What I am most excited about is the digital version of the magazine!
My students will be able to read the articles on their iPads and respond to questions and share their opinion on our Google Classroom account!
