This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 2nd grade students are an amazing group of children from a very diverse inner-city school in Lowell, MA. They love learning. They love coming to school each day and I love being able to teach them. Many of my students face incredible challenges each and every day yet they come to school with an open heart and an open mind. It is an honor to be able to do this job each and every day, and I just want to provide my students with as many opportunities as I can because they don't often get that outside of school. Our classroom is our home, our community and our family. Thank you donorschoose.org for giving me this chance. I love my job and I am blessed to have donors like you.

My Project

Our students would truly benefit from a subscription to Time for Kids because we truly need to access as much Non Fiction reading material as we can. We love to read and explore through a variety of text, and this will be a perfect monthly addition to our classroom library.

We read through so many genres during our 2nd grade year together and I find that, oftentimes, our students are devouring the books in our classroom library.

We want to provide them with so many options to feed their love of reading!

This would be a perfect addition!
