My Students

I have 25 amazing, inquisitive, and eager to learn students. They are curious and always striving for new knowledge. It is because of them our classroom has an energetic, positive atmosphere which encourages all to work hard, learn, and improve even when the material is not easy.

They demonstrate excellence and are willing to share their understandings with others.

After 30 years of teaching I am still in love with my profession because of these imaginative students who are the future of our world.

My Project

I would love a class set of student gear clocks and one teacher demonstration gear clock.

These easy-to-read clocks help students understand and manipulate time in an engaging and hands-on way that makes it easier for them to visualize and comprehend the difficult concept of elapsed time.

The hour to minute relationship allows students to keep track. Furthermore, it helps inordinately when dealing with elapsed time. These tools will be used in whole group lessons as well as for individual assignments.

I have found these manipulatives to be quintessential when teaching time. This will build student confidence and concrete understanding.
