My students need 27 Time For Kids news magazine subscriptions to help them read about exciting science and social studies stories that are making the news.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Many people get to see the world firsthand. Most of my students can only dream or have never been exposed to anywhere besides our town. This subscription will give them a chance to see the world for the exciting place it is.
We are a small school in Southern California.
The majority of our school is Hispanic and live below poverty level. They are very eager and willing to learn, but have limited resources available to them. We are hoping that these donations will give our students some resources that will keep them interested in school and make their education fun and interesting.
My Project
We are requesting a classroom subscription of Time For Kids news magazine. It features monthly lessons with Curious George, which the students love. This magazine provides interesting stories about people, science or social studies topics. It is has wonderful color pictures of the topics, graphing, and maps that will teach students important concepts. I know that my students will benefit by reading this weekly magazine.
Please help me provide exciting topics, facts and interesting stories to a group of wonderful first graders who would otherwise not get to benefit from this magazine.
