Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love that my students enjoy reading, writing, and engaging in collaborative projects. I also love that they never hesitate to help one another and they root for one another. My students are special because they have a growth mindset. They do not give up and they know that when they make mistakes, it’s a learning opportunity.
The Time for Kids magazines and related materials will give my students the background knowledge they need to engage in high interest learning activities.
These books will hopefully develop a love for reading. These magazines and books contain standard-based information that students are expected to learn in second grade.
My goals for this project are for my students to develop a love for reading. I also want to engage them in lessons that are connected to real life problems. More importantly, I want them to be able to use critical thinking skills to develop solutions.
