My students need meaningful non-fiction or informational text. TIME for KIDS will provide my students access to relevant and current articles about events happening in the world.
"Fair isn't everyone getting the same thing. Fair is everyone getting what they need in order to be successful." All of my students need individualized instruction in social skills in order for them to be successful in school, at home, and in life.
My dynamic group of students have diverse social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
My students may have a diagnosis of a mood disorder, another mental health disorder, ADHD, or autism. Each student in my classroom is very unique and requires individualized support and resources. However, all of my students require instruction in social skills. Teaching students social skills allows them to learn strategies to manage frustration, make and maintain friendships, manage emotions, and accept help and support from others. My Project
TIME for Kids inspires, "students to join the national discourse on current topics." TIME
This project contains subscription to TIME for Kids which provides students access to both digital and print subscription of the magazine.
Students with utilize this subscription to read and review relevant articles about current topics. This project will support students in 3-5 grade who have disabilities by providing engaging informational text with beautiful images and stories to inspire them. A variety of reading levels of this magazine was requested to support readers at all levels in our classroom. Access to relevant current articles will expose my students to events and topics impacting the world.
