My Students
This school is located in the Ferguson-Florissant School District and has 100% free/reduced lunch and breakfast for all students.
My students have a hunger for learning.
I feel that TIME for Kids would allow their hunger for news and nonfiction to grow.
Most of my students do not get magazines delivered to their house for them to read. Some of my students do not have books of their own at home to read. I know my students would treasure their TIME for Kids magazine.
My Project
With access to TIME for Kids, my students will gain the skills necessary to be able to read and understand how to read a magazine.
I will be using TIME for Kids in reading and social studies.
I believe that incorporating TIME for Kids in my instruction will allow my students to have a greater knowledge of the world around them. The students will become more aware of social issues affecting other countries.
The pictures and articles in TIME for Kids are of high interest to the students. They would love the opportunity to have TIME for Kids.
