My Project

This year I am teaching a 2nd/3rd grade combination class. Many of these students are advanced academically, and will be eager to dive into many enriching topics. I often find that in order to meet the learning needs of these students, supplementing the standard curriculum is essential.

Time for Kids magazine is an excellent resource to help my students experience many interesting topics like current events, STEM news, innovation and entrepreneurs, and civics/government.

Because it is such an engaging resource, students will be able to use it independently or with a partner to build their comprehension and vocabulary skills.
