Help me give my students to gain access to current events and news stories so that they can build their sense of civic responsibility.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Hudson's classroom raised $197

My Students
The students I teach live on the far Northside of Chicago and are an extremely diverse group of students. They are bright and fun loving students that come from all over the world and speak a multitude of languages.
My students are eager to learn and enjoy sharing their ideas.
Although they face challenges in and out of the classroom, they work hard to meet the high expectations I have for them and are growing everyday.
My Project
Students in my third grade class are very conscious of things happening all around them and the world. They enjoy discussing current events and brainstorming ways they can help make the world a better place-whether that be writing letters to politicians or creating projects to bring awareness to events. Time for Kids will be used in our remote classroom to start conversations, stay informed, and to create student projects around the magazine's various topics. Students enjoy working together to solve the problems and issues that are often highlighted in the magazine.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
