My Students
I teach on the west side of Chicago, where a lot of my students have not had the positive life learning experiences that all students should experience, in order to help them grow as life long learners. All of my students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds and a large majority of my students are raised by either a single parent or by their grandparents. Despite all of these obstacles, my students want to succeed and they support that you can give to them will be greatly appreciated.
My Project
These materials will greatly benefit my students because they will be able to have access to them digitally for their e-learning at home as well as have access to hard copies of each magazine for when they return to school. All of my diverse learners from last year really enjoyed reading about all of the current events going on around the world and being able to discuss them with their peers. It is for this reason that I know that these materials are very beneficial for all students since it meets a variety of their learning needs as well as for learning standards.
