Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our classroom is in need of independent hands-on STEM centers. My students are very curious, they love to explore and do hands-on activities in all academic areas. They are very creative and eager to learn, explore and create.
These hands-on learning centers will help my students become young engineers by allowing them to learn problem solving skills they need to help the characters in the stories that we read solve their problems.
They will solve problems like how to build a bridge for the the Billy goats to cross, or building a sturdy house for the "Three Little Pigs," as well as building other structures and learning about magnets. Providing students with the resources they need to dive into hands-on activities is the best way for long-term learning. It will give them experiences to learn to love engineering and science. Your generous contribution will provide us with essential educational tools that will enable us to create a supportive and responsive learning environment for our students. Thank you for considering our project and for helping us make a significant difference in our classroom.
