Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students absolutely mean the world to me! They are an amazing group of kindhearted, hardworking, responsible, respectful children. They are always ready to do their work, help others and make wonderful memories together. We enjoy every day that we spend together.
My families consist of hardworking migrant people that do their best to provide their children with everything they need for a successful school year.
However; most families are faced with financial challenges and need support. This project was specifically created to ensure that my students have snacks for the after school intervention and enrichment programs they attend. The students are in school by 8am, so by the time after school begins they are hungry. An after-school snack will improve their attention and focusing skills, as well as give them a boost of energy. I know that they will enjoy the individual cookies, pretzels, granola bars, popcorn, chips, animal crackers, etc.
