Help me give my students more glazes and tools to create more clay projects. Clay is our favorite type of material to use, but it is very expensive!

My Project
This project and its supplies are for a new 8th grade ceramics class! This class is an intro to clay and intended to help students develop a range of skills including creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking. The benefits of ceramic sculpture offers a direct visual-tactile experience for students as their work becomes an extension of their mind. Through this project, students will become more confident in problem-solving and critical thinking skill.
This large scale project is intended to promote our student's skills in the fine arts while preserving their mark in our school.
This ceramic mural will be started this school year (2025) and will continue for many years to come. After a semester of learning about the incredible material of clay, students will create a personalized ceramic tile to be installed along a wall of Page. Their personalized tile will focus on ceramic design concepts to include texture, shape, contrast, and decorating techniques such as slip, underglazing, and design transfers. Tiles will continued to be created and added to the initial installation over the years to produce a large scale piece of art that showcases the talent of our students at Page.
By donating to our project, students will be able to create various ceramic projects to gain experience with clay techniques and showcase their skill in our tile mural installation!
