Help me give my students personal hygienes items, protective equipment and snacks to protect themselves during their three week winter break and beyond.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students are inquisitive, bright, and enthusiastic learners. They are interested in learning and staying engaged during new lessons that are presented to them.
Our students are especially motivated to learn when they feel satisfied and safe.
Many families in our community are currently experiencing unemployment, evictions, COVID-19, and the loss of loved ones. Many students of our community live in small apartments or homes where they live with several families due to the high cost of living. Many families live below the poverty line and can not afford to buy personal protective supplies, clothing, and some suffer from food insecurity.
My Project
Will provide students with delicious snacks during the three week winter break. It will also give them personal protective items like hand sanitizer and to stay safe at home. Unfortunately some of our students have lost loved ones who were their bread winners so they need all the support they can get. The holiday season should be a special time to share with family but a lot of our families have more than one job in order to make ends meet. Your donation will make it easier for families to enjoy the holidays.
