My Students

My students are resilient, curious, and above all they are very competitive.

They are always working to achieve their personal and academic goals. They are dreamers and doers. They know that one day they will leave their mark on the world, I just want to help them on their journey.

My Project

My students belong to an inner city public charter school that works hard to provide a quality education to an under-served community. Computers and tablets are luxury the majority of my students' families cannot afford. However, we live in a world that ever more demands that students be technologically proficient in order to be competitive and successful not only in school, but in real life. These five Chromebooks will be used to successfully implement blended learning in the classroom. I will be able to give each student more individualized attention since I will be able to work in smaller groups with students, and when they are on the Chromebooks they will have access to applications and programs that are adaptive, such as iStation and NoRedInk, or programs which I can scaffold for their individual needs like IXL.

This project will not only help my students become proficient at using the latest technology, it will also afford them the opportunity to receive more attention in the classroom, which in turn will keep them on track to meeting all of their goals.
